The film follows Maren, a teenage monster hunter who has been secretly continuing the work her father left behind after his death. When her best friend Chloe discovers her secret and accidentally summons a creature called the Mimic, the two must go on an journey unpacking their relationships to each other and themselves.

As the night unfolds inside her father’s isolated cabin, the line between memory and manipulation begins to blur. The Mimic weaponizes love and guilt. At the center of it all is Maren’s best friend Chloe, who is pulled into a world she never asked for and must decide whether she’s willing to fight for it.
