Logline: When 18-year old Buddy discovers his father is living in Cleveland after being presumed dead during a 1936 race riot in Springfield, OH, Buddy travels to Cleveland to confront him and get some answers.
This is a filmed reading of a scene from the feature length script "Brick Walls." The story of an 11-year old boy who grows up in a family of home builders until he looses his father and home during at 1936 race riot. Seven years later, Buddy discovers his father is alive and living in Cleveland, OH. Buddy finds his rather but the reunion is not what he expects. Now Buddy must define his manhood on his own terms to transcend his father's abandonment and the challenges of pre civil rights America to build a new home.
