Logline: Three students explore the performance of the ARRI Alexa Mini and the Canon C500 MKII, attempting to answer the question: Can Canon keep up?

As part of the MPS curriculum, three students embarked on an extended journey to execute a shootout between two cameras. Starting in the spring of 2020 as a conventional shootout production, getting delayed due to COVID-19, and resuming in the fall of 2020 as a totally redesigned, socially distanced shootout, the production process had many twists and turns along the way. Almost a year after setting out, these students can finally answer their initial question and definitively say whether Canon can in fact keep up with ARRI.
